Due to the scheduled transportation for our participants, C.E.R.T.S. does not dismiss early due to inclement weather which means a snow storm or a hurricane. Families who choose to pick up their loved ones are free to do so at any time but please be mindful that an early closing of either our Newark or Smyrna locations will not take place due to winter weather because of the arranged transportation of our participants.
If the threat of a snow storm is predicted that could result in significant accumulation or ice, an agency closing might be necessary. In this scenario, C.E.R.T.S. will follow our established Special Weather Event Policy that is located on this website under the Calendar tab. Click on Calendar to reveal the drop down menu and you will see the heading “Special Weather Event”. Click here to obtain the information you need.
