A good time was had by all at Piggin’ Out 2016 on Saturday, October 15th. Occupying the same location as in year’s past, the IBEW Union Hall at 814 Basin Road in New Castle, we welcomed a new caterer this year, Uncle Earl’s BBQ and Pit Beef.
The menu included a whole roasted pig, BBQ chicken, macaroni & cheese, potato salad, tossed salad and rolls. Attendees were able to choose from 3 different types of BBQ sauce to compliment their pork, each equally delicious. We are grateful to the family and friends who are a part of Uncle Earl’s BBQ and Pit Beef for their quality service, food and beautiful table presentation. Compliments on the food were abundant!
C.E.R.T.S., Inc. celebrated our 10th anniversary at the Piggin’ Out event with a sheet cake served for dessert that documented this milestone. Donated gluten free cookies were also offered on the dessert table.
We would also like to express our gratitude to Michael Eckstein and Joan Rosenfeld for the donations they made to the silent auction. Their generosity in the number, variety, quality and uniqueness of items offered to C.E.R.T.S., Inc. made the auction experience distinctive for our attendees the likes of which we will no be able to replicate again. Music by The Big Bang Band was entertaining again this year. Songs performed got folks up dancing adding enjoyment to a busy night that also included a 50/50 drawing, a raffle and door prizes. Thank you to the Big Bang Band for their generosity in donating their performance at Piggin’ Out for the benefit of C.E.R.T.S., Inc., especially on a Saturday night.
